Lets With Pets

With 40% of UK households owning a pet and the number of people privately renting increasing year on year, landlords can no longer afford to miss out on this growing part of the private rented sector.

We actively encourage our network partners on our portal and landlords to consider letting with pets. Dogs Trust’s Lets with Pets campaign aims to make the process of privately renting with pets easier for tenants while highlighting the benefits to landlords and letting agencies, such as attracting long term tenants and expanding their rental market.

For tenants, finding a property that accepts pets can be very difficult because letting agencies are often reluctant to help pet owners and many landlords still add a 'no pets' clause to their standard tenancy agreement. We aim to highlight our network partners who actively promote pet friendly properties in their marketing to take some of the stress out of house hunting with a pet.
